Lapland

Lapland Lapland (North Sámi Sápmi, Skolt Sámi Sää?mjânnam, Inari Sámi Säämi) is located in the Arctic region, which circles around the North Pole.

In North-Lapland you can experience the call of the wilderness and the feel the pure nature at the rhythm of the seasons, characterized by great variations in coldness and natural light. In the Lapland around Inari are thousands of clear lakes and hundreds of fells, where the charm of the wilderness is always present.

Lapland has four distinct seasons.. Summer has the night without night, the sun does not set at all. In winter there is the long polar night, called “kaamos” in Finnish, when there is no sun during the day. And that is the best time to see the Northern Lights. In spring, you can enjoy the outdoors in often sunny and mild weather. In the autumn, nature is preparing for the coming of winter. The days are getting shorter and the colors of nature are glowing at its best. This period has even its own word in Finnish, “Ruska”, describing the very special color palette from neon-bright yellows through browns to flaming reds.
